How we earn your trust.

This industry is full of operators who lean on urgency, vague guarantees, and borrowed authority. We don't. Our trust is built on things you can check: what we charge, what you get, when we tell you to walk away, and how we protect your data.

What we are — and what we're not.

pardoned.ai is software plus document preparation. We are not a law firm, we do not give legal advice, and we are not affiliated with any government. You are the applicant and self-preparer: we prepare your application from your answers, and you review and file it yourself.

Our fee-transparency covenant.

Government fees are never routed through us and never marked up. You pay them directly to the government. Here are the numbers, in the open.

How we protect your data.

  • Encrypted case data. The sensitive details in your file are encrypted at the field level (AES-256-GCM), so they are unreadable without the key.
  • Append-only audit log. Access to case data is recorded on a log that can be added to but not rewritten.
  • No email attachments, ever. Your documents live behind portal login and are handed out only as short-lived, five-minute links — never sent as an attachment.
  • Discreet correspondence. Our emails use neutral subject lines from a fixed list, the sender is simply “Pardoned,” and your card statement reads “PARDONED SERVICES.” Nothing on any envelope surface names your situation.

The full list of the third-party services we use is disclosed factually in our privacy policy.

The honesty mechanisms.

  • Route-outs, by design. Our free eligibility check tells you when you don't need us — when a free government route fits you better — and sends you there, even though it costs us the sale.
  • A support firewall, as a feature. We answer questions about the published process. If your situation needs legal judgement, we don't guess — we refund you or point you to a lawyer.
  • A refund guarantee. You're covered before we prepare your documents. The terms are on our refund policy page.

How we research and review everything we publish is described in our editorial policy.
